If we can begin with a little honesty, Valentine’s Day is not really for me. Neither is Halloween. When I think about why I am not a huge fan of either occasion, much has a lot to do with some of the aesthetics around both of these themed occasions. They are simply too “themey” for me. They also aren’t overly rooted in traditions and feel a tad contrived to me, however these holidays make people happy and that I do like. So I wanted to take the opportunity to share some of my favorite things for home and lifestyle that feel like a beautiful gesture of thoughtfulness towards someone who is very design forward in all aspects of their life.
I am so taken by this brand. It exudes classic beauty in a soft endearing way that you know also feels like a big hug when you are wearing their pieces. This sweater in particular is a dress up or down option that will have everyone wanting to know where you got it.
I love Susanne’s products and have used them for years. Her bath oil is by far my favorite thing to indulge in particularly during these cold months leaving our skin brittle and lax luster. The scent from this product is heavenly and mildly robust making for soak time super luxurious and you know I love a product that has been thoughtfully designed to sit beside the tub all day long.
When done right more is more in such a beautiful way when it comes to handle holders. I think flooding a table or fireplace with beautifully appointed candle holders like these from RW Guild are a perfect way to create ambiance in a space. The key here is the delicateness of them, the holders and the taper candles themselves. They exude elegance and warmth.
Can I tell you the difference quality sheets makes in your life? You can say I am being extreme but I know you know the feeling. When you think of luxurious hotel stays or any time you experienced a wonderful nights rest, you may also recall how the sheets felt. I stress to my clients often how important it is to invest in high quality, high thread count sheets. I love that Matouk does embroidery customization as well, what a lovely personalized touch to a bedroom.
A follower of the brand since inception, I have loved watching this local Toronto brand grow. What I love most about T-Line is their commitment to longevity and timeless silhouettes. I put the tuxedo shirt on my wish list for Valentine’s this year. An ultra chick look with a pair of black pants or tucked in a pair of denims with a blazer- such a unique step up from the every day collared white shirt.

I have spoken about this collection before. A lovely collaboration that really takes every day catch all moments and elevates them with impeccable design. If things are going to sit out, let them be beautiful. Beautiful and purposeful!
To me, these just exude class and a little mystery. If I saw this laying around someones home, I may think, do they use that to light their candles or cigarettes? Either way- very chic.
Tekla makes beautiful fabrics and their designs range from simple and sweet to colorful and fun. I think a beautiful fresh blanket is always welcome. Perfect for a cozy night in or resting over the arm of a sofa in a tailored and welcoming way.
